Getting started

Frank in Archicad, step by step.

Short recordings of Frank on everyday tasks, in viewing order.

01

Editing doors with Frank

Frank finds every bathroom door, narrows the list to the Ground Floor, and exports it to CSV. It then sets the three doors to 90 cm, asks whether you want a single or double leaf, and swaps them for sliding doors.

02

Asking questions about the model

List every room with its area, then filter to the seven rooms over 20 m². Frank finds the doors between the garage and the house and sets their fire rating, confirmed in Door Settings. Click any row and the plan zooms to it.

03

Finding and updating doors

Frank checks which bedrooms have no window, then finds the doors that lead into the bedrooms (D-03, D-04 and D-05) and widens all three to 100 cm. Door Settings confirms the new width.

04

Editing windows with Frank

Ask for the bedroom windows on the 1st Floor. Frank works out which zones are bedrooms, selects the three windows in Bed Rooms 01, 02 and 04, and sets them all to 100 cm high.

Prompts to try

Start with these.

A starter set for Frank for Archicad 2.0. They refer to zones and stories by name, so swap in the names from your own model. Try edits on a copy of the project first.
