Forward Deployed Architect, United Kingdom
United Kingdom
Embed with our UK practices: a practising architect who works from their studios, gathers requests, keeps teams happy with Frank, and helps shape the product from the field.
About SWAPP
SWAPP builds Frank, an agentic AI architect that reads and writes the live BIM model inside Autodesk Revit and Graphisoft ArchiCAD, executing real documentation, modelling, and QA work for many of the world’s leading architecture practices. We pair deep architectural domain knowledge with optimisation, computational geometry, and modern AI to put genuine automation on the critical path of production. Our team brings together architects, engineers, AI researchers, and data scientists across Tel Aviv, the US and the UK.
The role
The Forward Deployed Architect is SWAPP inside the practice. Rather than advise from the outside or build in isolation, you embed with one customer at a time and stay until Frank has earned its place on live projects. Based out of our UK customers’ studios, you will learn how each team designs and documents, gather their requests and day-to-day frustrations as they arise, make sure they are happy with how Frank is performing, and carry what you learn straight back into the product. You are a practising architect who is equally at home in a design review and a product conversation.
What you’ll do
- Embed on site with your UK practices, working alongside their teams and becoming someone they rely on.
- Gather and prioritise requests, workflow pain points, and office standards from architects and BIM leads, and turn them into clear direction for SWAPP.
- Make sure Frank is landing on real projects: drive adoption, resolve issues quickly, and keep practices getting value.
- Configure Frank to each practice’s conventions, standards, and templates, and prove the value on live work.
- Take the field back to the product, helping to define, prioritise, and validate features from what you see day to day.
You are
- A practising, mid-level architect with roughly 5 to 7 years in production roles.
- Proficient in Revit. This is essential. Proficiency in ArchiCAD is a distinct advantage.
- Fluent in the realities of a UK production set: construction information, coordination, and BIM standards.
- A confident communicator who earns the trust of directors, BIM managers, and technicians whilst representing SWAPP on site.
- Based in the UK and glad to spend much of your week in customer offices.
Bonus
- Experience within a large, multi-office architecture practice.
- Strong ArchiCAD skills alongside Revit.
- Fluency with UK practice and standards: the RIBA Plan of Work and ISO 19650 (BIM) conventions.
- BIM management or automation experience: templates, standards, Dynamo, scripting, or the Revit API.
Working at SWAPP
- Work directly with a senior, product-driven team and see your work reach leading practices fast.
- Real ownership and impact from day one, on a product that sits on the critical path of real projects.
- We value curiosity, candour, and a Be-Nice attitude: genuine care for your teammates and our customers.
